PASSERIFORMES: Ptilonorhynchidae
Amblyornis newtonianus
After half an hour of searching, I found a Golden Bowerbird bower.
I hid behind some trees and waited. It was late afternoon and dark and because I was not expecting this situation I did not have my flash. The camera was registering ISO 12800 and I thought it would not take a photo.
Suddenly the male Golden Bowerbird was on the display area of its bower and I took some photos hoping like mad that they would be usable. I don't think I breathed properly for 10 minutes!!
